Korea trip

Busiest Street of Korea

 
Korea is located between the two giant markets of Japan and China and can reach more than one million people in 51 cities all within a flight time of 3.5 hours. We decided to visit Korea during our semestral break.

 First Stop: Rice Festival

A wide range of cultural art performances, hands-on experience programs and traditional folk games are held during the festival period. At the traditional market place, you can sample over forty kinds of traditional snacks and food as well as participate in a number of folk games.

Second Stop: Camp Casey
Almira's parents are working here... We were toured around the camp and had the opportunity to watch the awarding ceremony. They were all nice to us. We also stroll around the markets of korea.. tried new different things. Met new people..

Third Stop: Seoul Korea
It was our first time to ride a train from dongducheon to seoul.. It was 1 1/2 hours travel.. but everything seem so very fast..:)  hahaha..:) KBS was our first stop in seoul.:) Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) serve for the public good to the fullest."KBS is by far the best public broadcaster in Korea" by In-Kyu Kim CEO of KBS.. Then we went to itaewon to shop and eat..:)

Fourth Stop: Pocheon Lake, Botanical Garden and Museums
Korea's pride is their wonderful tourist spots especially the lake scenery and museums. We had fun looking at their cultural places. We also had the opportunity to eat a complete set meal up in the mountains prepared by korean friends.  This is one of my favorite days when we were there because we really had the time to learn something from korean culture and eat korean foods.:)

Fifth Stop: Lotte World
Lotte World is a major recreation complex in Seoul, South Korea. It consists of the world's largest indoor theme park that set a Guinness World Record open all year around, an outdoor amusement park called "Magic Island", an artificial island inside a lake linked by monorail, shopping malls, a luxury hotel, a Korean folk museum, sports facilities, and movie theaters all in one place. We went there to try their rides and have FUN!!:)

  This was a great trip for me. They were so nice to us.. Some koreans played with us... We were also with the mayor's wife of dongducheon... We had so much fun!! Hope we can come back soon..
